Israel to Send Troops into Syria over ’Increased’ Terrorist Threats

Palestine: Zionist troops

The Zionist army is believed to be preparing for a possible ground operation in Syria, the UK The Independent newspaper reported Monday.

Local Zionist news channel, Channel 2, reported a large scale drill by military forces along the border on Sunday which simulated a possible incursion into Syrian territory and the evacuation of Zionist settlers from nearby border towns.

According to the military analyst in the Zionist Channel 10, the drill is prepared to simulate a possible incursion into the Syrian territories in case of any attack by Iran proxies or Hezbollah.

for a sophisticated attack by the so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) on Israeli troops.

It comes after a senior officer said recent attempts by the Lebanese Islamic Resistance - Hezbollah - to carry out attacks against the occupation entity from the Golan Heights were orchestrated by Iran.

According to the Zionist daily Haaretz, the enemy air force carried out a bomb attack on suspected militants after an attempt to plant an improvised explosive device along the border fence between the occupied territories and Syria back in April was foiled.

A Zionist official told reporters during a briefing on Sunday: “It's clear that Iran is behind all of the terror attacks here (in the Golan) in the past two years.

He said. "The Iranians are using the border – they establish units – whether it's [Imad] Mughniyeh, [Samir] Kuntar, and more – to carry out the attacks."

There have been several Zionist air strikes against Syrian territory since the civil war began in 2011.

In January, an airstrike on a Hezbollah convoy in the Syrian side of the Golan Heights killed a Hezbollah military team that was maneuvering the area.

Hezbollah retaliated with an attack which targeted a Zionist military convoy of 9 armored vehicles, killing two soldiers and dismantling several vehicles.
