The Russian invading troops are refusing to go into battle due to high casualties, and are resorting to sabotaging their own equipment in order to avoid fighting, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a report on Facebook on Aug 9.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian air force and rocket-artillery units continue to successfully hit the enemy’s concentrations of troops, military vehicles and ammunition depots.
“As a result of losses on many axes, enemy troops are refusing to go into battle and resort to sabotage,” the message reads.
It is also noted, however, that the enemy air force was conducting systematic military operations in order to support the actions of ground forces.
Russian invading forces are focusing their main efforts on attacking Ukrainian defenses in Donetsk Oblast, the General Staff said.
