Austria agreed to pay for Russian gas in rubles

 




Austria and the Austrian oil and gas company OMV have accepted the terms of payment for Russian gas in rubles.

This was stated by Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, BBC reports on Wednesday, April 27.

According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin assured the security of supplies.

In addition, according to the publication, the possibility of paying for gas in rubles is being discussed in Germany - the German energy concern Uniper said they allow this option and are discussing it with the German authorities. The next payment from the company at the end of May.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, Gazprom completely suspended gas supplies to Bulgargaz (Bulgaria) and PGNiG (Poland) due to non-payment in rubles .
