Imagine World Where Russia Won. Podoliak Addressed Partners On Eve Of Ramstein-3

 

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mykhailo Podoliak addressed the partner countries on the eve of the third meeting of the heads of defense departments of more than 40 countries and noted that each of the participants in the meeting should imagine a world in which Russia won.

He wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Each participant in the Ramstein format should close their eyes and imagine a world in which Russia has won. Morning missiles to croissants, night sirens to lullabies, the disappearance of cities with a thousand-year history. This world will become a reality if maintain the current pace of arms supply. We are waiting for a decision," he wrote.

The third meeting of the Contact Group has been announced for June 15 in Brussels (Belgium). The participants will discuss further military assistance to Ukraine.

The meeting will be held at the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) under the leadership of the head of the U.S. Department of Defense Lloyd Austin.

The talks will begin at 05:00 p.m. with an opening speech by the head of the Pentagon.

And following the meeting, Austin and the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, will give a press conference.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier Podoliak published a list of weapons needed by Ukraine to defeat Russia: 1,000 155 mm howitzers, 300 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 500 tanks and 2,000 armored vehicles to end the war with Russia.

China Will ‘Not Hesitate To Start A War’ If Taiwan Declares Independence - Defense Minister

 

Beijing will “not hesitate to start a war” if Taiwan declares independence, China’s Defense Minister Wei Fenghe warned his U.S. counterpart Lloyd Austin on Friday in the pair’s first face-to-face talks. The international TV channel Al Arabiya reported this on Friday, June 10.

Fenghe pointed out that the United States sells weapons and provides military-technical support to Taiwan, which seriously violates the principle of one China, grossly interferes in the internal affairs of China and seriously damages the sovereignty and security interests of the state, putting peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait at serious risk, the Central Television of China quoted the Minister.

France May Take Part In Release Of Ukrainian Seaports

 

France has announced its readiness to help Ukraine with the release of the Odesa port. It is reported by BFM TV.

"We are at the disposal of the parties so that it is possible to organize an operation to ensure access to the port of Odesa in complete security, that is, so that ships can be carried out, despite the fact that the sea is mined," the presidential adviser said.

The adviser also noted that France wants Ukraine to win and restore territorial integrity.

"We want this conflict, this war of Russia against Ukraine to end as quickly as possible," the adviser added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the President’s Office announced three main steps to prevent the food crisis in the world.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 22 million tons of grain have been blocked in Ukraine at the moment, and according to UN estimates, hunger in the world will additionally cover about 40-50 million people this year.

Germany Increases Imports From Russia By 60% During War

 

In January-April 2022, Germany increased imports from Russia by 60% and transferred almost EUR 6 billion to Moscow, despite the Russian aggression against Ukraine. The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andrii Melnyk announced this on his Twitter account on Friday, June 10.

'It's crazy. Despite the Russian aggressive war, in January-April 2022, Germany increased imports from Russia by 60% (!) And transferred almost EUR 6 billion to Moscow. Trade between Ukraine and Germany fell by 11%," Melnyk said.

Belarus Conducting Combat Readiness Exercises

 

Combat readiness exercises have begun in the Armed Forces of Belarus. The transition from peaceful time to wartime is called their goal. BelTA writes about this with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

The bodies of the killed Ukrainian defenders of Azovstal were delivered to Kyiv.

The Association of Families of Azovstal Defenders has announced this on a Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"160 for 160: Ukraine and Russia exchanged the bodies of the killed military! Indeed, the bodies of the killed defenders of Azovstal have already arrived in Kyiv. The patronage service of the Azov regiment met and, together with the doctors, examined and described the bodies," the organization reports.

Among the bodies of the killed, a third are fighters of the Azov regiment, the belonging of other bodies to different units is being clarified.

Forensic experts are carrying out work, which in time, tentatively, can last up to 3 months.

Over time, the families of the victims will be called in for an examination and identification procedure.

The patronage service is now very busy, but keeps in touch with the Association of Families of Azovstal Defenders, with relatives of the killed fighters, and will inform about the next steps later.

Negotiations and the solution of organizational issues on the subsequent exchange of the bodies of the killed heroes continue.

Belarus Decides To Increase Its Army Personnel To 80,000

 

Belarus decided to expand its Armed Forces to 80,000 people.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"As part of the creation of the southern operational command, it is planned to increase the number of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus to 80,000 people," the ministry said.

The acquisition of military units with equipment and weapons is planned to be carried out from the technical means that are in storage.

As of the end of 2021, the army of the Republic of Belarus consisted of 65,000 people, of which more than 20% are civilian personnel.

In December, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that because of the "need to cover the south," the size of the Belarusian Armed Forces would be increased by 5,000.

On May 26, Lukashenko ordered army leaders to "immediately" create a southern operational command near the border with Ukraine.

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine responded to this by saying that the level of threat from Belarus is "clear."
